Kale Naturals was founded by Tia Pettijohn and Dana Kale after the two Dallas-based professional women assessed and researched the labels on their husbands' lotions, soaps, and shampoos - many of which consisted of harsh, chemical ingredients.

1. Tell us a little about the story of Kale Naturals. What motivated you to start the business?

We are outdoorsy, active people who love natural products and care very deeply for the environment. We spent three years custom formulating and testing our line of natural products. Every ingredient we chose was researched for use and performance, impact on health, and impact on the environment.

We happily make our formulas in the United States, right here in Dallas, Texas - and our minimalistic, post-consumer recycled packaging is sourced in California. We love keeping our carbon footprint low. When you look at the Kale Naturals line, you see a good description of who we are and what we are all about.

2. In one sentence, how would you describe Kale Naturals?

Caring people who make amazing products with the health of our customers and the environment in mind.

3. In comparison to the other grooming products out there, what makes Kale Naturals' products unique and different?

Each product has a unique story. For example, our best seller is our Bamboo Face Scrub cleanser. We opted to use bamboo stem powder for the exfoliator, which is both natural and sustainable. It is one of just a few scrubs on the market that is made without plastic micro beads currently under fire for wreaking havoc on the water supply, rivers, lakes and oceans. 

Bamboo Face Scrub offers antioxidants, Aloe, and Jojoba. In other wards, it exfoliates, deep cleanses, neutralizes free radicals, soothes, and moisturizes skin in one skincare step. We think that's beautiful and far less wasteful. We are honored it has won several grooming and skincare awards!
